Job summary

Baptist Health in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for 3 West Medical Surgical Telemetry. This part-time night shift (7p–7a) role provides direct patient care from admission to discharge and supports a high‑quality, evidence‑based approach.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates. The RN will review and document care, follow professional standards, and prioritize patient needs in a dynamic surgical unit.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.

Follows the professional standards of care.

Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.

Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
