Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time role operates 7a to 3:30p, with call requirements including nights, weekends and holidays.

The position offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for prior OR experience and an hourly base/minimum adjustment to $37.25 beginning with the second paycheck in October. Expect competitive premium pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
• Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements.

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
• Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.

• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.
• Assists in positioning and responds to safety of patient.
• Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens.
• Observes, checks and enforces strict standards of asepsis.
• Observes, checks and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm that items are functioning properly.
• Document intra operatively in Epic.
• Conducts appropriate surgical counts.
• Selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation, passing them to the surgeon.

Hourly Pay Range:$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure.
