Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across preop, intraop and postop phases.
• Communicate with OR team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Document thoroughly and maintain patient records per policy.
• Maintain aseptic technique and support efficient turnover.

Valley Surgery Center is looking for an Operating Room RN to join their team and make a meaningful impact in the care and experience of our patients! Valley Surgery Center is a multi-specialty ASC that focuses on Ophthalmology and GI, as well as other specialties including ENT, GYN, Podiatry, General, Ortho, Plastic/Reconstruction, Dental, and Pain Management across their 6 Operating Rooms and 2 Procedure Rooms. Salary Range

$35.00 - $53.00 per hour, based on skill and experience level.

The posted pay range reflects the range for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on candidate's relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative, interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient.

Education/ Experience

• Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License - IL
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications
• Two years of operating room circulating experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center

• Demonstrates current, comprehensive professional knowledge and skills in conformance with recognized nursing standards and department policies including the Patient Bill of Rights and AAAHC regulations, Standards for Nursing Care and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Assesses physiological and psychosocial health status of patient.
• Assesses pain per policy.
• Completes patient history.
• Verbally reports pertinent information to appropriate staff to provide continuity of care.
• Legibly documents information in patient record and signs record using appropriate professional title.
• Assesses level of understanding and expectations of care.
• Identifies desired patient outcomes.
• Establishes nursing diagnosis.
• Establishes patient/family goals that are mutually acceptable.
• Formulates Plan of Care for the patient.
