Job Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons in the operating room, acting as scrub or sterile nurse, setting up the operating room, assisting during procedures, transferring patients to recovery, and performing related duties.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, and participate in patient care according to needs, care plans, standards, and policies.
• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and infection control practices.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Develop and implement work techniques appropriate to the hospital's program.
• Accurately document patient information in medical records.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies safely.
• Seek educational opportunities for professional growth.
• Complete mandatory training and continuing education for licensure.
• Participate in onboarding new employees.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
• Report issues promptly to management.
• Delegate tasks appropriately.
• Administer and document medications per policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required; ACLS/PALS within 12 months if applicable.
• ECG training or testing within 3 months of hire if reading ECGs.
• Preferred at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Good mental and physical health to meet job demands.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, standing, sitting, lifting, and bending.
