What You'll Do

• Collect patient healthcare data systematically and on an ongoing basis using appropriate assessment techniques and instruments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the NYU Langone Health Core Values and incorporate these into the performance of responsibilities.
• Collaborate with the members of the interdisciplinary team and promote collegial relationships.
• Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
• Support the mission, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of the institution and the Departments of Nursing.
• Demonstrate ability to differentiate professional nursing practice from activities that may be delegated to ancillary staff.
• Participate in Unit Practice Council and Nursing Wide Councils.
• Engage in quality improvement programs and activities that promote satisfaction for patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Educate the patient and family to facilitate and promote health adjustment to new or changed health patterns.
• Evaluate the patient's progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.

Requirements

Education:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required

Experience:

• Minimum of one year OR nursing experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
• BLS Certified through the American Heart Association
• CNOR preferred
