Job description

A-Team Solutions LLC is seeking Registered Operating Room RNs for Full-Time contract positions at the VA in Seattle, WA. Start upon approval and credentialing.
Duties and Responsibilities:

RNs assigned to various units including Intensive Care Units, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Room, Operating Room, or Gastrointestinal Lab will provide services in accordance with NMVAHCS policies.

Specific duties include:

  1. Perform critical care nursing for ICU patients.
  2. Perform scrub and circulating duties in the Cardiovascular Lab and Operating Room.
  3. Assist with GI Lab procedures and monitor patients under conscious sedation.
  4. Obtain patient and family history, assess patient condition, and plan nursing care.
  5. Document care plans and interventions accurately.
  6. Verify physician's orders and execute prescribed treatments.
  7. Communicate pertinent patient information to the healthcare team.
  8. Reassess patient conditions and revise care plans as needed.
  9. Administer medications and IV therapies, understanding emergency drugs and their dosages.
  10. Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately in emergencies.
  11. Educate patients and families about medications and therapies.

Requirements:
  • Current license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • CPR certification from an AHA vendor; BLS certification required; ACLS if assigned to a specialty clinic.
  • Minimum of one year of recent direct patient care experience; VA experience preferred.
  • Experience in the specialty care area is highly desirable.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
