Position Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care according to established standards, considering patient age and risk factors.
• Perform assessments and reassessments upon admission and regularly thereafter, documenting all findings.
• Take emergency call as assigned.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and settings, ensuring sterile techniques are followed.
• Document all care and assist in policy reviews and updates.
• Communicate patient status effectively and advocate for patients' physical and psychological needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Texas Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years' OR experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and handle tactful communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of OR nursing practices and hospital policies.
