Job summary

Jobot is seeking a passionate Full-time, permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator to join our award-winning surgery center in Connecticut. The role focuses on orthopedic surgeries, with day shifts (4x10s or 5x8s) and no call, no weekends, and no holidays.

Lunch is provided daily and a comprehensive benefits package supports your well-being. As part of the OR team, you'll prepare the OR, assist surgeons, monitor patient safety, and coordinate post-operative care.

Qualifications

• BSN required and CT RN license.
• Minimum 2 years circulating experience; orthopedic focus.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR preferred.
• Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR for surgery and set up instruments while maintaining sterile conditions.
• Verify patient identity and review procedures to prevent errors.
• Assess patients pre-operatively (NPO status) and ease anxiety.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
• Communicate patient information with the team and ensure safety.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain patient safety during procedures.
• Coordinate post-operative care and room turnover.
• Document actions and communicate any irregularities.
• Pursue ongoing education to maintain competency.

We are seeking a passionate Full time, Permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-quality patient care in the operating room (OR) setting, focusing primarily on orthopedics.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile conditions.
2. Adhering to safety standards and precautions, including verifying patient identity and reviewing surgical procedures to prevent errors.
3. Assessing patients before surgery (e.g., NPO status) and comforting them while alleviating their anxiety.
4. Assisting surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
5. Working together with the surgical team, communicating patient information, and ensuring patient safety during the operation.
6. Monitoring patient's vital signs and maintaining patient's safety during the operation.
7. Coordinating post-operative care, including patient recovery and room turnover.
8. Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing patient care requirements.
9. Participating in ongoing educational activities to maintain competency and improve professional skills.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator role, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
2. Current Connecticut state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
3. A minimum of 2 years of circulating experience, including at least 1 year of experience in orthopedics.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
5. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
