Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide comprehensive perioperative care for patients before, during, and after surgery at SouthernRegional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. The role involves preparing the OR, assisting with patient setup, and maintaining sterile technique in a fast-paced surgical suite.

Requirements include current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and preferably CNOR and BSN.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, ensure cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Assist in preparing the patient for surgery, verify identity and site, position patient.
• Document vital signs, medications, and procedural details in the medical record.
• Maintain sterile environment and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Adhere to safety procedures and handle instruments per standards.

We are seeking anOperating RoomRNalso known as an OR RN or perioperative nurse,providescomprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.Operating Room Nurseworkwithin the operating room setting, collaborating with surgeons and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and well-being.OR RNs prepare patients for surgery, which includes reviewing medical history, conducting assessments, educating patients and families about the procedure, and administering pre-operative medications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room,ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properly
• Assistin preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completed
• Document pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical record
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipment

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

5. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
