Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking an experienced OR RN for a full-time role with a 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM schedule and mandatory on-call shifts. The team focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care within a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Must hold current North Carolina State License or Compact License with NC endorsement.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate patient assessments and identify care needs.
  • Initiate nursing interventions as appropriate for condition and age.
  • Provide care aligned with patient condition and age.
  • Document medical necessity timely and accurately in the medical record.
  • Develop and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.

Job description

$20,000 Commitment Bonus for experienced Registered Nurses
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a minimum of six on-call shifts per month, including one full weekend (Friday-Sunday).

Our Surgery/OR team is committed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. We are a community-focused rural facility featuring six main operating rooms and one dedicated OB surgical suite. Our surgical services include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, and other specialties. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced OR nurse to join our surgical team.

How You'll Contribute
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What We're Looking For
  • Current North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
  • Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
  • 1-2 years of Operating Room RN experience is required.
