Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in La Grange, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team on days. You will coordinate patient care across disciplines, implement orders, and mentor staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN license, BLS, and willingness to grow in a faith-inspired health system that values whole-person well-being.

Qualifications

• RN with active license (Required)
• BLS certification (Required)
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the practice and other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans to ensure effective treatment.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Leads and mentors staff to ensure optimal performance and competency in care delivery.
• Documents all phases of patient status while responsible for their care.
• Participates in the transfer of patient information to ensure continued quality care.
