A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Operating Room team.

About the Opportunity:

Assignment Length: 13-week contract
Shift: Evenings
Schedule: Monday to Sunday (36 hours per week)
Hours: 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM

Responsibilities:

Evaluating, planning, and implementing effective plans of care and communicating with both patients and their families to ensure a positive surgical experience
Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care in the surgical setting
Responding to changes in patient condition and treatment while maintaining a calm demeanor and ensuring patient safety
Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently using the Electronic Health Record system
Effectively coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members regarding changes in patient status, surgical procedures, and critical test values

Qualifications:

2+ years of Operating Room experience
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Computer savvy
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient-oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association
