Job description

A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Operating Room team.

About the Opportunity:

• Assignment Length: 13-week contract
• Shift: Evenings
• Schedule: Monday to Sunday (36 hours per week)
• Hours: 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating, planning, and implementing effective plans of care and communicating with both patients and their families to ensure a positive surgical experience
• Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care in the surgical setting
• Responding to changes in patient condition and treatment while maintaining a calm demeanor and ensuring patient safety
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently using the Electronic Health Record system
• Effectively coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members regarding changes in patient status, surgical procedures, and critical test values

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Operating Room experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Computer savvy
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient-oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association
• CNOR certification
