Description

OAK Surgery Center, located in Bourbonnais, IL is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is expected to be approximately 30-32 hours per week (some flexibility required) and is benefit eligible.

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures, contributing to their recovery and overall quality of life.

Duties:

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, organizing surgical equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients during surgery, providing support to the surgical team as needed.
• Administer medications, manage airways, and assist with pain management as required. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and their families.

Requirements

Skills/Education/Experience:

• Current IL RN license
• Current ACLS/PALS required, BLS preferred
• Minimum two years' experience in an OR, ER, ASC or critical care environment
