Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking an experienced OR nurse to join our Surgery/OR team. This full-time role supports general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, and other specialties in a six-OR facility.

We offer a $20,000 commitment bonus and a schedule Monday–Friday with on-call requirements. North Carolina licensure and BLS/ACLS are required with 1–2 years OR RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina State License or Compact License with NC endorsement.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Associate's degree in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of Operating Room RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity timely and accurately in the medical record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a minimum of six on-call shifts per month, including one full weekend (Friday-Sunday).

We are a community-focused rural facility featuring six main operating rooms and one dedicated OB surgical suite. Our surgical services include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, and other specialties. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced OR nurse to join our surgical team.

How You'll Contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What We're Looking For
