Job summary

GlobalPlacementFirm is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse in Kissimmee, FL to support open heart surgeries and complex cardiovascular procedures. You will assist in pre-op, intraoperative monitoring, and post-op coordination to ensure patient safety and surgical success.

The role requires 1+ year CVOR experience, Florida RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Shift is evening with on-call weekly and monthly requirements, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CVOR/Open Heart RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Active Florida RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA-certified) Required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• On-call shifts: one weekday per week and one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care during open heart surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist the surgical team with instrumentation, sterile technique, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and support intraoperative decisions.
• Coordinate and maintain CVOR readiness, including supplies and surgical equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical staff, and cardiology teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of intraoperative activities and patient responses.

Position Overview

As a CVOR Registered Nurse, youll provide expert, compassionate care in the operating room during open heart and complex cardiovascular procedures. Your role is integral to patient safety, surgical success, and positive outcomes. Youll assist in pre-op preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and post-op recovery coordinationensuring every step is executed with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Incentives

• Hourly Pay Range:

  • $31.84 $46.26 (Based on years of experience)

• On-Call Pay: $4.00/hr

• Shift Differentials:

  • Nights: +$4.50/hr

  • Weekend: +$1.50/hr

  • National Certification: +$1.50/hr (e.g., CNOR)

• Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
