Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is hiring a Clinical Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in outpatient and hospital settings. You will report to the Nurse Manager/Director and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualified applicants must be RN graduates, licensed in NC (or a compact state), hold current BLS, and may have 2–3 years of relevant experience; the role is full-time, onsite with a 40-hour work week and day schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or one of compact states.
• Current BLS certification required for all roles.
• Hired candidates are required to hold relevant certifications per clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician.
• Identifies and pursues expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs; consults for high-risk discharge planning.
• Collaborates with peers in a clinical operations environment, promoting intra/interdepartmental communication.
• Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families.
• Communicates plan of care to patient/family with cultural competence and active listening.
