Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse in Manchester, CT to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with an interdisciplinary team and respond quickly to clinical changes, reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

12-hour shifts include every third weekend, with eligible new hire bonuses. Must hold CT RN licensure with BCLS and ACLS certification (or obtained during orientation).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a valid CT RN license.
• BCLS and ACLS required at hire or within orientation period.
• Effective communication in English; basic computer skills; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team; communicate changes promptly and accurately.

Position Summary

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient’s clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.

COMPETENCIES

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.
• Possesses basic computer skills. Epic experience preferred.
