Job summary

Astera Cancer Care in New Jersey is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse (Float-North Region) to support the North Region sites including Edison, Parsippany, Jersey City, Rutherford and Bridgewater. The role requires flexibility to travel between offices.

Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, symptom management, operating emergency equipment, injections, and verifying medication consents in EMR.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and CPR certification required.
• Experience as an RN with specialty in oncology/hematology.
• Chemotherapy certification required; OCN preferred.

Job Description

Our practice in New Jersey is looking for an Oncology Registered Nurse (Float-North Region). This position will provide coverage for the North Region (Edison, Parsippany, Jersey City, Rutherford and Bridgewater). A pay differential will be applicable to float as required.

General Responsibilities

Include chemotherapy administration, symptom management, operate emergency equipment, administer injections, verify completed consents for medications in EMR and other direct patient care responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current RN License; CPR Cert.
• Experience as an RN with specialty in oncology/hematology
• Chemotherapy Certification required
• OCN preferred
• Knowledge of EMR systems (preferably OncoEMR)
• Travel between office sites when needed
