Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME seeks an experienced RN for infusion oncology, providing direct patient care and chemotherapy administration. This part-time role (less than 60 hours per pay period) offers night shifts and opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team.

You will monitor treatment response, educate patients and families on plans and medications, ensure safety and HIPAA compliance, and document care accurately.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
