Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Lewiston, ME is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct oncology infusion care, administer chemotherapy and related therapies, and monitor treatment responses in a fast-paced acute care setting.

You will educate patients and families, adhere to safety and HIPAA standards, and collaborate with the oncology team to coordinate care. Current RN license and BLS required; oncology certification and BSN preferred; this is a part-time role with days shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
