Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health for our Princeton, IN clinic. You will provide clinical care to client employees during scheduled hours and support return-to-work programs.

The role requires OSHA/DOT screenings, acute care, case management, health education, and accurate documentation. You will maintain infection control, coordinate with TPA and clients, and participate in safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS may be required
• Minimum 3 years as RN in occupational health or ambulatory care
• Experience promoting healthy, safe workplaces and return-to-work exams

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to client employees at the Princeton, IN site
• Conduct and document OSHA/DOT screenings and other required evaluations
• Deliver evidence-based care and coordinate case management with TPA and client
• Support transitional duty and return-to-work programs for injured workers
• Maintain patient health records and infection control practices
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care

As a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Princeton, IN. As coverage needed during clinic hours of: Monday & Tuesday 7AM–3:30PM, Wed 12:30PM–8:30 PM, Thurs 11:30AM–7:30PM.
No Fridays, no weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
