Job summary

VillageMD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Float) to support patients across multiple New Jersey locations including Warren, New Providence, Westfield, Union, Florham Park, West Orange, Montclair.

You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and provide clear communication on services, while performing medications administration, phlebotomy, vitals, and point-of-care testing. A strong commitment to compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an RN.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient support and communication to build an exceptional patient experience.
• Welcome and prepare the patient for their appointment and inform patients about services they will receive.
• Administer PO, IM, and ID medications as directed by the Provider.
• Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, suture/staple removal, dressing changes, and other patient care activities.
• Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Instruct patients regarding medications and diet.
• Authorize prescription refills as directed.
• Prepare patients, room, and supplies for visit or examination.
• Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
• Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
• Perform quality controls and equipment checks.

Job Description

This position a full-time FLOAT Registered Nurse position.

Scheduled shifts among the following locations: Warren, New Providence, Westfield, Union, Florham Park, West Orange, Montclair

Shifts Can Start as early as 645/7AM

As a Registered Nurse , you will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and drive organizational loyalty. Accountable for welcoming and preparing the patient for their appointment, the Medical Assistant informs patients of relevant and required information for their visit and provides clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive.

Pay Range

$40.38 - $50.48 Hourly
