Job summary

VillageMD seeks a Registered Nurse for a full-time FLOAT role across Warren, New Providence, Westfield, Union, Florham Park, West Orange, Montclair. You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and communicate clearly about services to ensure a positive experience.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing basic tests, obtaining vitals, and guiding patients on care and next steps. Competitive pay and strong benefits support day-to-day excellence.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

• Authorizes prescription refills and prepares patients, rooms, and supplies for visits.
• Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens; cleans and maintains rooms and equipment.

Job Description

This position is a full-time FLOAT Registered Nurse position. Scheduled shifts among the following locations: Warren, New Providence, Westfield, Union, Florham Park, West Orange, Montclair. Shifts Can Start as early as 6:45/7AM. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and drive organizational loyalty. Accountable for welcoming and preparing the patient for their appointment, the Medical Assistant informs patients of relevant and required information for their visit and provides clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive.

• Prepares and administers PO, IM, and ID medications as directed by the Provider, utilizing the “Rights of Vaccine or Medication Administration”
• Performs point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs as ordered or indicated, and suture/staple removal, and dressing changes, and other patient care activities
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings
• Provides instruction to the patient regarding medications and diet
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed
• Prepares patients, room, and supplies for visit or examination
• Performs phlebotomy and correctly processes specimens
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment
• Performs quality controls and equipment checks

Pay Range

$40.38 - $50.48 Hourly The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
