Job summary

VillageMD in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our patient-centered team. You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and communicate clearly about planned services, medications, and required instructions during their appointments.

The role involves performing medications administration, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, vital signs, and patient education. Strong bedside manner and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient support and communication to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments and inform them about services.
• Prepare and administer PO, IM, and ID medications as directed by the Provider.
• Perform point-of-care lab tests and EKGs as ordered; assist with suture/staple removal and dressings.
• Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Provide medication and diet instructions to patients; authorize refills as directed.
• Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
• Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment; perform quality controls.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and drive organizational loyalty. Accountable for welcoming and preparing the patient for their appointment, the Medical Assistant informs patients of relevant and required information for their visit and provides clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive.

Experience Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Pay Range

$40.38 - $50.48 Hourly The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
