Job summary

Umcelpaso is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will direct and coordinate all nursing care, collaborating with other professionals to achieve desired patient outcomes in a high‑standard clinical setting in El Paso, Texas.

The role requires knowledge of age and cultural diversity, ongoing performance improvement, and adherence to state practice standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
• ADN acceptable but must obtain BSN within three years of date of hire.
• Current Texas RN license to practice in Texas.
• Current CPR training required.
• ACLS training within 1 year for critical care areas.
• NPR training within 1 year for Mother/Baby, Well Baby Nursery, L&D, Antepartum.
• PALS training within 1 year for Endoscopy, Emergency, Cath Lab, OR, Recovery and Ambulatory Surgical Unit.

Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

• 3. ACLS training obtained within 1 year of being in the position for all critical care areas, Labor and Delivery and Antepartum units.
• 4. NPR training program obtained within 1 year of being in the position for the following areas: Mother/Baby, Well Baby Nursery, Labor and Delivery, and Antepartum.
• 5. PALS training program obtained within 1 year of being in the position for the following areas: Endoscopy, Emergency, Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, Recovery and Ambulatory Surgical Unit.

Education and Training

Bachelor degree in Nursing required. May consider ADN, but must obtain BSN within three years of date of hire.
