Job summary

Beloit Health System is looking to add Per Diem Med Pass RNs to our NorthPointe Terrace Team. The RN – Med Pass administers medications to residents who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and who need assistance with supportive, nursing, and personal care.

All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of Beloit Memorial Hospital's and NorthPointe Terrace's mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Must be able to think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations.
• Must be self-motivated and resident centered.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient for change of condition from report, care notes and fall reports.
• Ensures that new orders are transcribed, ordered and received and discusses changes with resident.
• Reviews labs, orders and medications with monitoring of administration and completion of documentation in relation to each review.
• Participates as a resource and team member for the PCAs during medication passes.
• Used base of knowledge to educate staff, residents and families.
• Writes care notes on any changes in resident condition and follows up on previous notes.

Job Requirements

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Must be able to think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations.
• Must be self‑motivated and resident centered.
• Must be able to relate to all residents and staff in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner under all circumstances.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and participate in holiday activities with residents.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times.
• Works collaboratively with peers and team members.
• Follow up promptly and thoroughly with appropriate staff, residents, or other individuals regarding complaints, problems, and concerns.
• Adheres to established hospital and NorthPointe Terrace policies, rules, and regulations.
