Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN coordinates and provides high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with department standards and scope of practice. Collaborating with medical providers and care team members, the RN offers individualized, compassionate care following nursing models like “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, embodying our mission and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

• Regularly assess and manage patient pain, including reassessment after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as ordered; document care accurately and promptly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve proactively.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, side effects, and follow-up care, translating complex information clearly.
• Guide on non-medicinal follow-up measures like diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, preparing patients for self-management.

Qualifications required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 30 days.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 30 days.
