Job summary

Avery Healthcare is recruiting a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse for Purley Gardens Care Home in Purley, Surrey. You will act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, ensuring high standards of care for residents and supporting a motivated team.

Role includes medication distribution, dressings, catheter care, tube feeding, and chronic condition management, with involvement of families and GPs in care decisions. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate a minimum 2 years experience with up-to-date knowledge of care, supported by post-basic studies/qualification.
• Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition and involving them in ongoing care decisions.
• Responsible for the deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
