Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join Acacia Mews Care Home. You will work with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ 3 in care, 2 years’ experience in a similar setting, and strong communication skills. We foster a supportive culture and provide opportunities for growth within our expanding network of homes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as key contact with residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals; escalate concerns.

About the role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
