Malvern Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) at our new facility in Philadelphia, PA 19131. The role includes direct patient care, crisis management, and treatment team collaboration within a trauma-informed, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Pennsylvania-licensed Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience in addiction and mental health preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Program and Rehabilitation standards helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as prescribed by physician and treatment team.
• Perform medical management and patient assessments.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for patients.
• Implement behavior management programs and supervise assigned staff.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients, families and others.
• Document patient care and update the master treatment plan via nursing care plan updates.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to maintain a consistent therapeutic milieu and review referrals.

Malvern Behavioral Health is currently seeking full-time Registered Nurses at our upcoming BRAND NEW Malvern Behavioral Health facility located at 3905 W. Ford Road Philadelphia, PA 19131 to work the night shift from 7:00pm - 7:30am. The night shift Registered Nurse position has an every other weekend commitment. Provide medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population. Direct the implementation of behavior management programs and ensure consistent carry-through. Make patient & task assignments to subordinates & monitor their performance of duties. Provide training & education to staff, patients, families, & others. Document patient care, ensure that data is accurate, & that it is included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu. Work with referral sources and ensure timely review of pending referrals which includes review of clinical information with physicians for appropriateness for our programs. When indicated, working with insurance companies to complete pre-certifications for clients.Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.Knowledge of milieu management.Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures.Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and familiesSkill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentationBenefitsThis position is a full time, benefit eligible position.
