Job summary

Malvern Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for night shifts (7:00pm–7:30am) at our South Philadelphia facility. The role entails direct patient care, medical management, and maintaining a therapeutic milieu for young adults in recovery.

Responsibilities include documenting care, coordinating with the treatment team, and guiding staff in crisis management and behavioral plans. PA RN license and CPR are required; addiction treatment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Pennsylvania.
• Clinical experience in addiction treatment is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Program and Accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Perform medical management and patient assessment.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for patients.
• Direct implementation of behavior management programs and supervise staff.
• Assign tasks to subordinates and monitor performance.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients, families, and others.
• Document patient care and ensure data is in the master treatment plan via nursing updates.
• Collaborate with treatment team and referrals; assist with pre-certifications as needed.

The current position available is a full time position, working 12 hour shifts, three nights per week with an every other weekend** **commitment****. Our trauma-informed and recovery-focused trained staff take great care to provide a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment.****The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Provide medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population. Direct the implementation of behavior management programs and ensure consistent carry-through. Make patient & task assignments to subordinates & monitor their performance of duties. Provide training & education to staff, patients, families, & others. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu. Work with referral sources and ensure timely review of pending referrals which includes review of clinical information with physicians for appropriateness for our programs. Clinical experience in the treatment of addiction is preferred. Current CPR certification.
