Job summary

New Vista Of The Bluegrass Inc. in Mt. Washington, KY, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for night shift to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role offers full-time hours, a 6P-6A schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, supervise LPNs, and respond to emergencies while collaborating with the treatment team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid RN license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a state Nursing Board in the Compact State Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor, perform nursing duties and assessments for ill or injured clients.
• Supervises licensed practical nurses in executing physicians' orders and proper nursing procedures.
• Administer medications via feeding tube, PO, or IV and administer injections.
• Respond to facility emergency codes.
• Serve as a member of the client’s treatment team and report unusual incidents.
• Report clients’ abnormal physical and mental reactions to the physician.
• Perform nursing assessments on new admissions.
• Interacts with clients and families and explains treatment.
