Job summary

Loyola Medicine in Maywood, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the NICU team at Loyola University Medical Center. This role focuses on compassionate, patient- and family-centered care in a high-acuity environment.

The RN will provide care for neonates, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in education, and support a residency-style transition program for new grads.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in nursing (BSN/ADN) required.
• BLS provider certification required prior to hire.
• Illinois RN license required prior to hire.
• Minimum 1 year of RN inpatient hospital experience.
• NRP certification within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal patient care in the NICU setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient outcomes.
• Support family-centered care and staff education.

The Loyola Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is looking for that special nurse to care for our unique population and their families. Our NICU is dedicated to caring for babies born prematurely needing monitoring and treatment to ensure their lungs, hearts and other organs work properly. For these infants and those born with birth defects or other complications, the right equipment combined with the right therapy at the right time can make all the difference in helping them get healthy.

What Registered Nurse RN will need

• A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN

• BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire

• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire

• 1 year of RN inpatient hospital experience

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date into position

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $44.47-$52.25 depending on registry commitment

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
