Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide individualized, age-specific care for neonates and infants. The RN will assess needs, develop and implement a care plan, and delegate tasks per the Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.

The role requires ACLS and Neonate Resuscitation (NRP) within 30 days of start date, and at least 1 year of acute care experience with NICU exposure.

Qualifications

• RN provides individualized, age-specific care for neonates and infants.
• Assesses patient needs to develop and implement a care plan.
• Delegates tasks per Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.
• Requires ACLS and NRP within 30 days of start date.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing individualized, age specific, goal directed care for the neonate and infant. The RN assesses the needs of the patient/client in order to develop a plan of care and then implements and evaluates the plan. The RN bases the plan of care on current nursing knowledge/skills and institutional methodology. The RN accepts assignments that are commensurate with his/her experience, knowledge and ability. The RN delegates tasks to the licensed and unlicensed personnel according to the Texas Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.

What you will do in this role:

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• 1 year of acute care hospital experience; NICU
