Job summary

UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is seeking dedicated NICU nurses to join our award-winning team. This full-time opportunity offers day/night rotation options and alternating weekends/holidays to support family life.

Responsibilities include delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and teams, and maintaining PHI security. A sign-on bonus of $8,000 is available for qualifying inpatient RN experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio.
• Inpatient RN experience required.
• NICU or critical care experience preferred.

Joining the UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s NICU team comes with many benefits, including a sign-on bonus of $8,000 for RN’s with 1 year inpatient RN experience.

Job Duties

• Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
• Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

• All sign on bonus amounts are subject applicable taxes

Schedule

Full time: Either Day/Night rotation or straight Night shift (for experienced NICU nurses only)

• Alternating weekend/holidays
• Some call shifts will be required
• Other scheduling options may be available, including part time or PRN for experienced level III or VI NICU RNs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
