Job summary

Novant Health's New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Neuro Intermediate registered nurse for the night shift. This full-time, 0.9 FTE role covers 72 hours every two weeks, with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am in the Neuro Intermediate unit.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support high-acuity Neuro patients, monitor post-surgery neurological changes, manage IVs and ventilator-capable care, and ensure timely, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in NC (active)
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; nursing program accreditation required
• One year of relevant nursing experience preferred; active license
• If RN license inactive for 5+ years and not licensed in another state, refresher course required before reinstatement

What You'll Do

• Support high acuity patients with ventilator capacity.
• Work closely across multi-disciplinary teams to provide quality care for Neuro patients.
• Manage various IVs.
• Monitor for any neurological changes post surgery.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
