An established healthcare provider is seeking dedicated nursing professionals to join their night shift team. To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Effective 12/1/11, all new hires will need to have a BSN as a minimum requirement or a Master's degree in Nursing. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required.
Physical and cognitive requirements: The position requires a full range of body motion including assisting patients physically, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Classified as Very Heavy Work according to USDOL, involving exerting over 100 pounds occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Adherence to NIOSH guidelines, which recommend not lifting more than 51 pounds without assistance, will be followed. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant communication in English are required. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity and understanding relayed information. Deductive and inductive reasoning skills are essential for problem solving and applying general rules to specific situations. The role involves considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying. Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, and adapt quickly to changing tasks without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to work in stressful situations and adapt to a dynamic environment with patients having acute, chronic, complex, or terminal conditions. Must work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health team (e.g., MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory). Effective time management skills are necessary to prioritize responsibilities, problem solve, and deliver quality care.
