To fulfill the needs of patients across various age groups, their families, and the community by performing diverse patient care tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory standards.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Effective 12/1/11, all new hires must have a BSN as a minimum or a Master's degree in Nursing. Current/valid State of New Jersey license or legal permission to work in New Jersey.
Proficiency in computer and keyboard skills. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Physical and cognitive requirements include a full range of body motions such as assisting patients physically, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. The role is classified as Very Heavy Work per USDOL standards, involving exertion of over 100 pounds occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds constantly. Follow NIOSH guidelines, which recommend not lifting more than 51 pounds without assistance. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, effective communication skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in stressful, changing environments are essential. Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and utilize effective time management skills is also required.
