Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neurology Ambulatory team in Indiana. In this outpatient role, you will triage calls, provide symptom management, and coordinate care alongside six neurologists and one advanced practice provider. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with options for traditional 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m. shifts or four 10-hour days, and requires at least one year of RN experience with an Indiana license or NLC, plus BLS

Qualifications

• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions for more than two years of relevant clinical experience.
• BLS certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls, symptom management, and coordinate care with six neurologists and one APP.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients in an outpatient neurology setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality neurological care.

Qualification:

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
