Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate compassionate patient care across care teams. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while teaching patients and families.

This role requires current Michigan RN licensure, BLS or ACLS, and may require additional certifications as regulation changes. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with strong communication and clinical knowledge essential for success.

Qualifications

Job Description

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principle investigator.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred. Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
