Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a Neurosurgical ICU in Winston-Salem, NC. The role focuses on caring for critically ill patients with neurological conditions and involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program background, at least one year of acute nursing experience, and current RN licensure in NC.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• At least one year of acute nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neurosurgical ICU.
• Monitor and manage critically ill neurological patients including stroke, trauma, seizures, and post-surgical cases.
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities include monitoring and managing patients on ventilators, titratable drips, intracranial pressure monitoring, and performing detailed neurological assessments. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to deliver high-quality care.
