Job summary

Aura Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Neurosurgical ICU team, specializing in neuro-critical care. You will provide direct patient care for critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients, including stroke and traumatic brain injury, with close collaboration from neurologists and neurosurgeons.

• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state (North Carolina).
• At least one year of acute nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for neuro-critical patients.
• Monitor ventilators and ICP monitoring; adjust as ordered.
• Perform comprehensive neuro assessments and document findings.
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons and ICU team for timely escalation.

Join a growing Neurosurgical ICU team as a Registered Nurse specializing in neuro-critical care.In this role, you will provide direct patient care for critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients, including those with stroke, traumatic brain injury, seizures, and post-surgical conditions. Your responsibilities include monitoring and managing advanced interventions such as ventilators, intracranial pressure monitoring, and titratable drips, as well as performing comprehensive neurological assessments and responding swiftly to patient condition changes. You will collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include current RN licensure in the appropriate state, at least one year of acute nursing experience, and BLS certification. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Candidates with an inactive license may need to complete a refresher course prior to reinstatement.
