Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join a 22-bed Neuro/Surgical ICU, providing independent, complex patient care in a family-oriented environment focused on neuro conditions such as strokes, head trauma, and ICP monitoring.

You will perform bedside procedures, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least one year of related nursing experience or new graduate status.
• Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
• New hires must attend orientation and complete competency validations.
• Experience in critical care settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, complex patient care in Neuro/Surgical ICU.

Role Overview: A registered nurse in a specialized Neuro/Surgical ICU providing independent, complex patient care within a 22-bed unit focused on neuro conditions such as strokes, head trauma, aneurysm repairs, ICP monitoring, and organ procurement. The role involves managing a diverse patient population, performing bedside procedures, and collaborating with a team in a family-oriented environment.

• Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—while addressing patients’ emotional, cultural, and social needs. Administer medications, monitor side effects, document care, and educate patients and families. Make appropriate care assignments and delegate tasks to team members.
• Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least one year of related nursing experience or new graduate status. Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required. New hires must attend orientation and complete competency validations. Experience in critical care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Additional Requirements: Demonstrated ability to handle complex clinical situations, strong teamwork skills, and adherence to certification timelines. The role involves working night shifts (7PM-7AM) and participating in ongoing competency development.
