Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking a Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN plans and provides goal-directed nursing care, advocating for patients and families while coordinating care using evidence-based practices in a Level III NICU environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years NICU experience, Texas RN license or compact license, and BSN/MSN preferred, with BCLS, Neonate Resuscitation, and STABLE completed within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• STABLE must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Texas State RN License or compact license required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN/MSN preferred.
• 2+ years NICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual goal directed nursing care.
• Advocate for the health, safety and rights of the patient, family and community.
• Coordinate care autonomously utilizing evidence based practices.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Staff Nurse is responsible for planning and providing individual goal directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community. The nurse possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient care to the population for which he or she is employed. The RN is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The RN is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices. The practice of the Registered Nurse will support the mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

What qualifications you will need:
