Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish in Denver metro is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will work with medical teams to provide pre- and post-operative care, advocate for patients, and tailor care to diverse needs across services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Colorado or multi-state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• ACLS Certification within 30 days of starting for new hires; existing staff must have ACLS by 09/01/2026.
• One or more years of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the provider.
• Document care in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado, or multistate license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• One or more years of RN experience preferred
• Current ACLS Certification through AHA or ARC within 30 days of starting for new hires. Existing colleagues must receive ACLS by 09/01/2026
