Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. A new hire sign-on bonus of $5,000 is available. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient care, coordination with physicians and teams, and patient advocacy in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements include ASN or higher, RN license, and 1–2 years in Cardiac/Telemetry; BLS is required, ACLS and CCRN preferred. Hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science is preferred.
• 1–2 years of Cardiac and Telemetry experience is preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse is required.
• BLS is required; ACLS, Conscious Sedation, and CCRN are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with medical, surgical, or other conditions.
• Coordinate care with physicians and hospital departments.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
• Advocate for patients and participate in unit activities.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services

• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care.

As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Education/Degree Required:

Associate of Science in Nursing Or

Experience:
