Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.

You will care for critically ill patients using the nursing process, educate families, coordinate with physicians and ancillary staff, and advocate for patient needs in a high-acuity environment at Downtown - Main Building.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Cardiac and telemetry experience preferred.
• Hospital staffing experience preferred.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services

• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care.

As a Registered Nurse For Baptist Health You Will

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Education/Degree Required

Associate of Science in Nursing Or

Degree Preferred

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

Experience

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience

Licenses And Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
