Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MG2 Telemetry unit on a per diem tier III basis. This day-shift role supports quality patient care with flexible scheduling.

The unit features telemetry monitoring with a 4:1–6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and requires a BSN, PA RN license and AHA BLS certification, plus a 144-hour minimum commitment per 6-week schedule and associated weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identifies barriers, incorporating education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.
• Documents admission assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors outcomes.
• Utilizes information systems to enhance communication and documents changes in patient condition to appropriate individuals; prioritizes work assignments.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during interprofessional rounds.
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care; knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral.
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Type: Per diem tier III

Tier III Requirements: 144 hour minimum commitment per 6-week schedule. 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). 1 spring/summer holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day).

Shift: Day Shift (7am-7:30pm)

Location: St. Mary Medical Center

Position Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to provide quality of care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.

Unit Overview

Tele monitored patients - unit operates a 4:1-6:1 nurse to patient ratio. Unit contains double rooms and approximately 48 beds.

As a Registered Nurse, you will

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.
• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.
• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
