Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks a medical telemetry inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. The unit is 36 beds with 24 telemetry monitors, supported by an engaged manager and nurse-driven change projects.

This full-time night shift 7 PM–7 AM includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. The ideal candidate holds a MA nursing license, Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred), and is CPR certified with at least 1 year RN experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Massachusetts license.
• CPR certification required (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in telemetry or inpatient setting.
• Diploma in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the 36-bed telemetry unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Participate in nurse-driven change projects and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support teaching and orientation for nursing students and residents.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• Wesson 4 is a dedicated, growing team, with an engaged Manager, committed to the professional growth and development of the team, and dedicated to patient experience.
• This unit offers participation in nurse driven change projects, great nursing ratios, and optimal support.
• This unit is a 36-bed unit with 24 telemetry monitors.
• Close partnership with Physician Medical Director.
• Teaching unit for Medical Residents and Nursing Students.

SCHEDULE:

• Full Time Nights 7 PM – 7 AM
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays
• Location: Baystate Medical Center Springfield

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Education: AND required; BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support – American Heart Association

The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
